In college, all I wanted to do was write about animals. It led me to couple my writing, editing, and publishing degree path with concentrations in the science disciplines of biology and behavioral neuroscience in order to be a voice for wildlife.

After graduating, and as my interests began to expand, I saw how interconnected we all are to nature. I struggled to only communicate fascinating animal discoveries without underlining the direct connections we had to the natural world.
I couldn’t write about wildlife and the environment without addressing how our health depends on the health of the planet and what it looks like to be intentional with our choices as stewards of the land.
I want to be a part of a larger movement of change-makers in the environmental and wellness space by weaving together my voice and the vision of others. Strong word choice and powerful imagery hold the power of capturing readers and viewers in the moment, inspire awareness, and draw upon perception for change.
